Super talented Zambia singer – Wezi drops a brand new single tagged “Ona Manje”. The song features legendary JK. Wezi writes; If you’ve followed me over the years, you will see that I love to celebrate Zambian artistes that have moved me in life. I’m yet to celebrate ALL, but gradually there’s artistes each year I pick on and celebrate either via collaborations or making cover songs. The first ever collaboration with a legend was Maureen Lilanda. She’s my mother in music and a phenomenal woman. JK joins my list of legends who have graced me with their amazing voices on my songs. I love JK and I’m excited to share this song with you. When people started this system of tagging me, asking me to release new music, it felt like we are joking, then when it persisted, it started making me nervous and giving me anxiety. And now, it’s motivated me to share a special song which is also a very special collaboration too. Some people take silence as laziness but those who have access to me behind the scenes will make them understand that I never stopped writing and recording but I lost the strength and motivation to continue sharing who I am with people outside my inner circle.
