Four Years Ago, Zambian songstress Wezi was under the record label Elation Entertainments. She released an album titled “Leilole” under the record label Elation Entertainments. The album consisted of twelve songs. Two Years later after the release of her album, she left the record label and decided to join Nexus Music Entertainments. When she left the label, she said “My journey with Elation Entertainment was a learning experience for the most part. I literally was part of the build up from scratch and the original artists to sign”. She didn’t give concrete reason why she left the record label.
After joining Nexus Music Entertainments, months later she decided to leave the label. She then released a statement where she made it clear she was an independent artist and not signed or affiliated to any record label. After four years of not being interviewed, she was hosted at a podcast known as That Zed Pocast. She gave a reason why she left Elation Entertainment. She says after the album “Leilole” was released, no music video for any song on the album was shot for it. Her album wasnt advertised properly too despite her putting in much effort for the label’s growth.
